Ciao a tutti,
- The Quest for Rividia
- Trials of the First Moon
"Hi Michael,
it's Sauro, again :-)
I'm writing you to ask you approval to do one thing.
As you may remember I found out about your contact and gamebooks through a member of the Italian Gamebook Forum "Librogames's Land".
Librogame's Land it's an italian Forum of gamebooks lovers where people share opinions, ideas and gamebooks comments and review.
This Forum is also unique as few people like to share their experience in terms of writing and traslating ion order to provide the members a free service called LibriNostri (tranlsated it means "our books").
LibriNostri are the outcome of members passion about gamebooks, there are people that write brand new books and then share them with the memebers for their amusement. Other people translate english, french or German gamebooks and then share them with the memebers.
This service is totally no profit so pretty much when we decide to translate a foreign gamebook we always contact the author to ask permission to do so making sure that is clear that no profit will be taken neither a fee for the author will be provided as it's just amatorial stuff.
I'm half way through your first gamebook and I really like it! I'm a lover of the "Ninja" saga and you book reminds me that.
I start havoing the idea to translate both of your gamebooks in italian and then provide soft and hard copy to the memebers of the forum (the only thing we ask the members is the re-found for the prints), but prior to start the translation I'd like to know if you would be ok with this or not. Are your book belonging to a publisher which own the copyrights or you work on your own?
Unfortunately there wont' be any money for both the only benefit we will get is a sensation of satisfation for me and the fact that you'll became little bit more famous in Italy :-D
I hope you understand my intentions, and don't worry as if you don't give me the green light I won't even start.
Please let me know your thoughts considering that in case of a negative reply that won't ruin our frindly relationship.
Cheers,
Sauro"
Ciao a tutti,
Sauro
